Primary Years at EHM
The EtonHouse Malaysia academic programme is developed around our beliefs about children and learning. Students are provided with an engaging and challenging range of learning experiences designed for the development of social, cognitive, emotional, physical and creative skills. Within a carefully constructed learning environment, children explore important conceptual ideas, and learn new skills. Students have multiple opportunities to communicate, collaborate, make choices, obtain and apply knowledge, and solve problems. As they develop these skills, students grow stronger in all of the subject disciplines.
The EHM academic programme is aligned with the 6 PYP subject areas:
Subjects are taught through transdisciplinary Units of Inquiry. The six transdisciplinary themes are:

EHM offers English as an Additional Language support according to students' needs, ensuring equal access to the curriculum and other aspects of school life. The programme provides support in listening, speaking, reading and writing, depending on the needs of the individual student. EHM homeroom teachers provide EAL support within the regular classroom. Students who are evaluated to be needing a more thorough approach receive additional support from a specialist EAL teacher, for an additional fee.
